Making quilts is a visual art. You must "see" your fabric choices side by side in order to decide if they work well in relationship to one another. Fold up pieces of fabric, so that you are looking at about the amount that your template piece will represent. Pin it to your design wall, add several pieces and step back. Please be aware of any copyrights on your chosen image. If you have the name of a photographer, you can contact them and ask permission to use the photo as a reference for creating your quilt.
